Every day, we walk past hundreds of strangers and forget them in a split second, even though they carry decades of valuable wisdom. The Sonder Project unites these passing lives and their experiences on one anonymous platform. We are the first global network built to uncover the invisible knowledge of the streets and share it with a community of strangers turning everyday encounters into inspiration. The most valuable recommendations and life lessons don't come from profit-seeking algorithms or influencers - they come from decades of real life experience of the people around us. The Sonder Project is built to capture this. We connect strangers through simple physical cards given to people who stand out in the real world. This card allows them to anonymously share their honest wisdom, hidden gems, and perspectives into our digital archive. It’s a platform driven only by pure conviction. Strangers becoming teachers, passing the card forward to build a global logbook of human connection.

[sande] noun. English
the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own - populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries, and inherited craziness - an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you'll never know existed, in which you might appear only once as an extra, sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk.
01. GET THE DECK
While the rest of the world is entirely focused on screens and short videos, we start offline. Get your hands on a deck of our physical cards to begin the journey. These are not just ordinary pieces of paper. They act as your tangible, analog tools to cut right through the digital noise and unlock the hidden wisdom of your city.
02. CHOOSE A QUESTION
Bring the card to life. Simply scan the qr code with your phone and select a question that sparks your curiosity. You can ask for deep reflections, like: "If you could put one message on every billboard in your city, what would it say?" Or you can ask for genuine recommendations, like: "What's your personal underrated food combo that people judge you for?" Once confirmed, your card is active and ready for the real world.
03. HAND IT TO A STRANGER
Trust your intuition. Whenever you cross paths with someone who captures your attention, simply hand them the card. There is no need for awkward small talk or forced introductions. The card itself carries the message, speaks completely for you, and gently invites them to participate.
04. COLLECT THE RESPONSES
The stranger scans the card, anonymously shares their unfiltered truth, and passes it on to the next person. A fascinating chain reaction begins. You will be notified every single time a new, honest answer from a passing stranger is added to your card's ongoing journey.
Every perspective matters, including yours.Got feedback? Drop it here. If you just want to stay linked for the official launch, send us the word 'Sonder'.
